The Indian Govt has directed smartphone makers to pre-install the Sanchar Saathi app on all new devices. Here is what you need to know about the "un-deletable" claim:

📱 What is it?
A government initiative to fight digital fraud. It helps you:
✅ Track & Block lost/stolen phones (CEIR).
✅ Check if your phone is genuine (IMEI check).
✅ See how many SIMs are registered in your name (TAFCOP).

⚠️ The Controversy:
Reports stated the app "cannot be turned off or restricted," sparking privacy concerns.

🛑 The Clarification (Official):
Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has clarified today:
• Pre-installation is for awareness.
• It is OPTIONAL for users.
• You CAN delete/uninstall it if you wish.
