Trust me when I say the story, tone, acting, music, and world is stunning!!! If you are a JRPG fanatic like me, I guarantee you will enjoy this game. I’m not being paid to write this either, I have faith in the story telling and execution of this game.

I know the fact it’s a gacha turns off a lot of people, which is rightfully so, but the story is the true gem.

The actual game is a Sherlock Holmes mystery genre type of game, and you need to solve dark as hell crimes with cutscenes that have some pretty gruesome and action packed scenes, like people getting murdered point blank or being burned alive.

You follow a Detective who lost his/her sibling three years ago due to an accident where a group of cultists assassinated the Queen and used this incident to frame the MC. They disappear for a while but then come back to Silvernia, the open world city that you explore, three years later to solve a case and find who killed their sibling.

The case they end up being assigned to is called the Cinderella case where people are going around using extremely flammable reactors to burn dozens of people alive in different areas. The crime involves human trafficking and experimentation, and it’s gnarly as hell.

The Detective gets caught up in a web of lies and deceit where the bureaucracy fails, exposing deep corruption and more.

The game has very dark moments but also heartfelt ones too. The unique aspect of this game is that it has multiple crime cases and storylines that change depending on what clues you pick up in this open world and how you decide to solve them. You could completely fail to solve the case correctly and people die as a result, so it makes you hyper aware that everything you do has consequences although the outcome may be the same or maybe not.

The crimes seem to also all revolve around fairy tales, so it seems the first main story case will be Cinderella, then they will probably have another fairy tale that it will focus on as its theme and have the crime be based on, which is SO GODDAMN COOL!

Your closest allies may turn against you in the story too. The beta ends on a cliffhanger, and I honestly am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next beta lol.

Anyway, I’m literally obsessed with this game and what you see as the “Resident Evil” copy is just a multiplayer mode that doesn’t even matter much.

The MC is so endearing and is also always broke and the MC sibling names are Hugin and Mugin, who are named after Odin’s crows, and Hugin, the male MC in English has one of the best voices ever who’s probably Noah from Xenoblade 3, and IN THIS ESSAY I WILL 😭😭—
