Strategy is wasted on those who lack the capacity to implement it.

Many consulting and design firms realise this, having worked for clients who were more interested in a "show" of strategy than the real work of product development.

And so, those strategy firms now co-create products to see their work come to life.

The design firm, IDEO, is my best example of this. They have a business spin-off called IDEO Futures for their co-created ventures. They have an equity stake in those ventures.
