@unusual_whales ... and when they find evidence of widespread corruption, they will fine them .00001% of the profits they have gained from their wrongdoing.
@unusual_whales The moral of the story is:
If you are rich & connected, you can avoid punishment for your crimes by paying a fraction of what you stole.
Seems like crime really does pay if you steal bug enough.
@ddddddeon Not really indicative of a music degree. I have been I several progressive rock bands that have a more intense level of arrangement, musicality, and creative juxtaposition and all the members of the group were self-taught. Creativity is typically not a teachable trait.
@Thedonofstocks@unusual_whales Markets are based on trends.
Money should be made off of anticipating the desires of a healthy society.
The masses desire an end to the forces that seek to manipulate & thrive off of a predatory market that preys on misfortune.
I don't want a mansion, I want justice.
@realrobdurden Our modern government emphatically helps people all the time! After all, billionaires, as much as I'd hate to admit it, are people too, and the government helps the sh!t out of them.
@JasonHoltzman71 @adhdchroniclez@realrobdurden I agree that the government softly regulates some of these things, we are still charged pretty heavily for the services $100+ monthly. Electric companies are natural monopolies. Hospitals are private entities that both overcharge and often neglect their patients for profit.
@unusual_whales If i remember history correctly, this wouldn't be the first time that JP Morgan stoked fears about economic uncertainty to profit off the back end of the panic that their voiced concerns created.
@Winslow19Don Right, but this looks like a failing of the rail itself. I just think that if it's an issue with the rails, the railroad companies should be forced to maintain it themselves. I'm tired of rich corporations leaching from public funding while refusing to pay their share of tax.
Same old story as always. Protect the greedy sociopaths with their exorbitant wealth at the top & let the average person just trying to scratch a living take the fall.
When are we going to see this game for what it is & focus our ire appropriately?
