@LilithLovett If you plan on installing a Linux distro and have more questions, in order of most-least preferred form of contact, you can ask me on Discord (DesArch), b sky (dessarch), or here.
@LilithLovett I didn't properly catch your question on last night's stream, but while typically games are not natively on Linux, there are compatibility layers that make a lot of games, including Guild Wars 2, Helldivers 2 and Warframe, run.
Some games with anticheat will not run on Linux no matter what, namely Destiny 2, League of Legends, and Fortnite, primarily because of developers opposing it, but developers can enable it on anticheat games. https://t.co/UR5Hq2p5vw provides a list of what games work with Linux.
To make effective progress, we must think long term. This makes no sense long term or short term, because instead of educating people on the importance of trans rights, we just simply look like very petty villani. Also I won't buy Hogwarts Legacy because it looks bland anyways.
At this point discourse about the "wizard game" is the same level of pettiness that transphobes have gone to. How likely is it that J.K. Rowling is earning a large sum of cash from each purchase of Hogwarts Legacy, despite how there is a 30% cut from major storefronts+the studio?
And if trans streamers stop streaming because they keep getting Hogwarts Legacy ads promoted on their streams...I think they actually walked into what Transphobes really want - a diminished presence of trans people online. Shaming people for buying a game is illogical overall.
