And Deuce's older brother, former UGA Bulldog Jalon Walker, is the Atlanta Falcons' latest 1st round pick. He said his family is "truly blessed" that they'll both play in Atlanta.

"[Jalon] set the standard for our family. He's led me in the right direction throughout our life."

Walker's time learning the game didn't start on Georgia State's campus, he comes from a football family:

"My dad's been around football all his life, coaching for 30 years. I've been around football since I was born. So football is just kind of embedded in me."

We also spoke to defensive back Deuce Walker, poised for a bigger role in his sophomore season.

He's spent time at both corner and safety, which he credits for growing his knowledge of the game: "It's just helping me just analyze the game and just pick out the details."

GSU opens its 2025 season with three straight night games, including its season opener at Ole Miss on SEC Network. The Panthers will also face South Alabama for a midweek matchup at 7:30 PM on ESPN2.
