Day 15/25 — Learning Web3 with @RavenNetworkHQ

Today I learned the differences between centralized exchanges (CEX), decentralized exchanges (DEX), and peer-to-peer (P2P) trading.

Here’s how I understand CEX vs. DEX:

>CEX (Binance/Bitget)
→ Custody: The exchange holds your assets.
→ KYC: Usually required for account verification and many services.
→ Speed: Trades are generally fast because they use centralized order books.

>DEX (Uniswap/STON.fi)
→ Custody: You trade directly from your own wallet.
→ KYC: Usually no protocol-level KYC is required.
→ Speed: Transactions depend on blockchain conditions and confirmation times.

I also learned about market orders, limit orders, and stop-losses, which help traders manage how and when they enter or exit positions.

The key takeaway? Convenience and speed matter, but so do custody, security, and control over your assets.
