If you see the recent discourse around Sharjeel Imam after Shekhar Gupta’s X post - you’ll notice that none of the usual uneducated “puncture chaps” are coming to his defence.
His defence is mostly by educated but unholy red green alliance members.
Know your enemies.
PM Narendra Modi Ji’s (@narendramodi) Strong Message to Congress regime change operators and its ecosystem:
“We must unite and fight against the enemies of the nation.
Those who divide society and harbour hatred towards our culture are enemies of the nation.”
Certainly a Burnol moment for Arfa and 420 others!
Shashi Tharoor watched both parts of #Dhurandhar and had nothing but praise for the movies. He even posted a review video.
Hello, Supriya Aunty! 🤣🤣
“Sharjeel Imam openly calls the Constitution fascist, labels secularism a trap, and denounces democracy as a contrivance to deny Muslims their political rights.”
Can’t wait to hear the views of the new age gatekeepers of democracy and constitution https://t.co/SI33oYAb8C via @theprintindia
1/5 Sharjeel Imam has given an interview detailing his Islamist manifesto. Surprisingly, no storm has been kicked up over pronouncements that are so unapologetically anti-liberal, anti-secular, anti-democracy, anti-Constitution—in a word, anti-national.
2/5 He openly calls the Constitution fascist, labels secularism a trap, and denounces democracy as a contrivance to deny Muslims their political rights.
3/5 The piece is a litany of indictments against the liberal class. Imam rejects any difference between liberals and Hindutvadis. In his essentialist worldview, all Hindus are the same, unanimous in denying Muslims political power they claim as a divine right.
4/5 Inadvertently, Sharjeel has recognised something that liberals have been fighting shy of acknowledging: that Hindutva’s idea of India is anchored in the same “overarching nationalist framework”— that Muslims are Indians above all else.
5/5 For more, read this Opinion article by Ibn Khaldun Bharati, who looks at Islam from an Indian perspective:
Sharjeel Imam’s Islamist manifesto will be forgotten. The silence of liberals will not

This is what we need to understand when people casually label every protest as “peaceful” without examining what actually unfolds on the ground.
My friend Manikant Mishra, Special Correspondent at The Tribune, has brought forward ground-level reporting and visual evidence from the October 10 protest at Connaught Place, Delhi, highlighting allegations of stone-pelting, threats to shopkeepers and violence involving police personnel.
A protest may begin with a political demand, but the moment it descends into stone-pelting, intimidation and attacks on those responsible for maintaining law and order, the question of peaceful dissent becomes a question of accountability. Shopkeepers should not have to fear for their safety, police personnel should not be subjected to violence, and ordinary citizens should not be made to bear the consequences of unrest.
The right to protest is fundamental to a democracy. But that right cannot become a shield for violence, nor should the word “peaceful” be used to dismiss credible evidence of misconduct. Democracy demands both the freedom to dissent and the responsibility to respect the law.
Credit to Manikant Mishra for bringing the ground reality into public view. The relevant footage and allegations deserve a thorough, impartial investigation. Those found responsible for violence must face due process and legal consequences, irrespective of their identity or political affiliations.
Peaceful dissent is a democratic right. Violence is not. The rule of law must apply equally to everyone.

Here’s the masked man I found pelting stones at cops, threatening shops at CP middle circle at 1:50 PM on Oct 10 protest. This was reported by me earlier too. Bringing him unmasked this time.
Hope @DelhiPolice nabs him.
