‘BACKROOMS’ director Kane Parsons says he would get “no enjoyment” out of using generative AI on any project — “It defeats the purpose entirely for me.”
“I think I'm in the same boat as most well-adjusted people. If I could snap my fingers and make generative Al disappear forever, I probably would.”

The backrooms being something that takes from existing things, doesn't understand any of it, then feeds itself with the same thing over and over until it all starts to become unstable with that yellow tint? You couldn't make a better analogy for ai if you wanted to 😭
If you're not careful and you wander into the wrong estate, you'll find yourself in the parlour rooms, nothing but the reek of cold tallow, the madness of ochre damask, the endless hissing of dying gaslight, and six hundred million square miles of furnished rooms to be trapped in
I think the funniest thing about the Backrooms wiki is the misconception of ''Almond water'' .
The first iterations mentioned puddles and rooms having an ''Almond-like'' smell, implying the presence of cyanide, making the environment already more hostile.
Over time people took it way too literal and believed it was actual water made out of almonds. Now you can find said water on every floor on vending machines, acting pretty much like a healing potion.
