Happy to share that I wrote a #script that kinda helps me while using web version of #instagram. The script basically adds the #image and #video access when you do a right click on that particular post. You can easily install the script by using #Greasemonkey extension.

Spent half a day struggling with an IPv4 validator in JS.
Then I saw a clever solution:
octet === parseInt(octet).toString()
My solution checked every rule explicitly. This compressed several checks into one comparison.
The struggle helped me understand why it works.

RANT - Honestly, it’s exhausting how broken the tech infrastructure of some major banks still is. In 2025, updating something as basic as your email ID, name, or address shouldn’t feel like you’re trying to hack into a legacy mainframe from 2010.

You click on a link to update your profile—error. You try Aadhaar verification—OTP works, but the final step? “City code not found, please visit branch.”
You reload, try again, different browser, incognito—still broken.

Imagine someone in the private earning ₹2 lakhs a month. Sounds like a good salary, right? That’s ₹24 lpa.

He pays around ₹4 lakhs in ITR, plus indirect taxes on everything he buys. Add EMIs, rent, bills, and daily expenses, how much can he realistically save? Maybe ₹3–6 lakhs a year. To save ₹2 crores, he’d need to work for 20–30 years.

Now consider this: ₹2 crores, that’s the bribe an IRS officer demanded from a business to settle just one case. One case. What could be a person’s lifetime savings is another man’s bribe from just one case! Imagine what he’ll accumulate over a lifetime if not caught. Multiply that by lakhs of govt employees, bureaucrats, politicians, judges. Not saying all are corrupt, but even if 20% are, the scale of money hoarded is unimaginable.

And yet, somehow, India continues to move forward. How we’re progressing despite this deeply institutionalised corruption is nothing short of a miracle.

@IDBI_Bank For context - There is no option to update address manually so I am not sure what city code its reflecting, is it pincode ? it should automatically sync from the Aadhar card itself right?
