I’m incredibly thankful for the amazing students in my EPF class who volunteered their time and talent to hand-paint a beautiful American flag on my wall! #USA
From sketching every stripe to carefully placing each star, they poured their hearts into this project. Watching them work together with such pride, patience, and respect for Old Glory has inspired me! These young people remind me every day why I love teaching! Their creativity, patriotism, and willingness to serve make me so proud to be their teacher.
Thank you, students! You didn’t just create a flag in my room; you created a memory! 🇺🇸

The best lessons aren’t in textbooks. They’re in the kindness and passion of great teachers. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week from all of us here at IDE and EdQuiddity! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Today my little scholars crushed our “Globalization Newsroom” review activity! I split them into groups of 2 and turned them into 2026 Global News Teams.
Each pair received an event card from Unit 9 and had to create a 60+ second breaking news reel covering:
What happened (historical facts)
Why it still matters today (“Our Enlightened Today” connection)
One hopeful solution + one ongoing challenge
The topics they tackled were fantastic: • Economic Globalization (trade, multinationals) • Cultural & Technological Globalization (internet, immigration) • Environment & Climate Change • Human Rights, Terrorism, and Pandemics
I was blown away by their creativity, confidence, and ability to connect 20th-century events to our world in 2026. They were laughing, debating, and teaching each other while practicing causation and modern relevance You know...all the skills they’ll need on the AP exam!
These scholars aren’t just preparing for a test… they are understanding how our interconnected world works.
So proud of them! 💪🌍

Units 2, 3 & 4 just got the ultimate review treatment! My little scholars were up out of their seats, moving around the room, and “Speed Dating” those major themes.
From Gunpowder empires (Ottomans, Safavids, Mughals) and Maritime empires (Portugal, Spain, Dutch, Britain, France) to the Columbian Exchange, global trade networks. They had 3 minutes per “date” to ask questions and explain causation before rotating to the next classmate.
The room was buzzing! 🐝 You could hear lively debates like “How did the Columbian Exchange transform both the Old and New Worlds?” and “Why did [insert empire] survive while [insert empire] didn’t?” as students rotated around the room with big smiles and serious historical thinking.
Nothing beats getting these scholars out of their seats and into active, high-level! 🙌🏻 This kind of review hopefully sticks!
So proud of these energetic historians! They’re building strong skills and “Leveling Up”! The AP exam doesn’t stand a chance!

What an absolutely perfect day for learning outside! Nothing beats beautiful weather and motivated students diving into Unit 1: The Global Tapestry (1200–1450).
I’m so impressed with my little scholars today! They took full ownership of their review by creating their own video reviews explaining state-building strategies, belief systems, innovations, and cultural developments across 6 different regions of the world. Watching them compare Song China, Dar al-Islam, the Mali Empire, the Aztecs, and more while making those connections was just fantastic. #awesome
These students aren’t just memorizing facts, they’re understanding how the world was woven together in the past and why it still matters today. That’s the kind of learning that makes me so proud of them!
Huge shoutout to every student who brought their energy, creativity, and great effort outside today. Ya’ll made teaching a joy!
Keep up this momentum! You are building for a strong finish on that AP exam!
