Deviants are a group of lifeforms who have awakened a previously dormant gene. This changed their DNA, mutating them in unforseen ways. Deviants are hunted, jailed, or killed by the DCA, or can choose to join them, saving their own skin in exchange for hunting fellow deviants.

The DDF, or Deviants Defence Front, is a revolutionary group dedicated to destroying the DCA and toppling the government, so that all Deviants can be liberated, and live their life in peace without having to live in fear of being hunted.

The DCA, or Deviant Control Authority are a branch of the CWG, dedicated to 'protecting' the public from 'dangerous and violent' Deviants. They hunt, kill, and jail deviants. But also recruit them into their ranks, in order to help with combat.
