$10 feeds a family for a day
Ahmed Omar, 43, was displaced from Shuja'iyya to western Gaza and has been forced to move ten times since the genocide began. Before the genocide, he worked as an importer and distributor of sweets, but both his business and family home were destroyed and now lie beyond the yellow zone, making return impossible. Ahmed lost his brother and three of his brother’s children, and now cares for his own four children, aged 8 to 15, as well as his late brother’s two surviving children. He currently lives in a rented home in Gaza City with 11 family members, paying $600 per month despite having no income and relying entirely on donations for survival. Ahmed suffers from chronic heart disease, high blood pressure, and a severe back problem worsened by displacement, with medical expenses reaching about $180 per month. The family also faces monthly education expenses of approximately $150–200 for the children. They often face difficult choices between purchasing food, medicine, and other essential needs, usually prioritizing food. The family continues to struggle with access to basic necessities, including food, clean water, healthcare, education, and stable shelter.

Your spare change is someone's survival
Noha Abu Harb, 53, is a widowed mother of six living in a tent with her children and her mother-in-law, making up a household of eight. After her husband passed away six years ago, she became the sole caregiver for her family. They have been displaced four times and currently pay $300 per month in rent despite having no stable source of income. Noha lives with high blood pressure and spinal problems, while one of her sons is paralysed and has bone damage, requiring ongoing medication, diapers, and daily care. The family relies largely on humanitarian aid to meet basic needs, including food and medical supplies. Noha’s campaign is focused on covering her son’s medical expenses and care needs, as well as helping the family manage daily living costs while navigating continued displacement and difficult living conditions.
