My partner hit a deer. Their car is fucked and might be for weeks. It costs more to uber to work and back than I make in an 8 hour shift. I don't know what I'm going to do.
@badinfinity2 Okay I read thru their tweets and they seem to be saying that the happiness one gets from transitioning is placebo.
Still an utter fucking lack of understanding there
Roommate in hospital: This is the third time they asked me if I want to sign a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) order. I wish they would stop. I don’t want a DNR.”
Repeated requests concerning a DNR order are ableist, coercive and harassment.
No means no.
@thatmaskedgirly @GoldenC688 That is such a relief to hear, the head straps give me migraines as well so I just try to be careful that I'm maintaining my kn95's as best I can
It used to be possible to live a semi-"nOrMaL" life and take Covid seriously. You could maybe eat outdoors at a restaurant with spaced tables or meet up with friends outside. But now all mitigations are gone, it's disingenuous to pretend any semblance of 2019 living is possible.
Can anyone explain to me why the "De'lux industrial" thing is a pun regarding the brain or eyes because I've been googling shit for like 15 minutes and found nothing and it's upsetting
OCD is not just ‘I hate germs’. It’s intense and terrifying. My latest obsession is worrying about if I’m a pathological liar, triggered by an off-hand comment. OCD will latch on to these thoughts, and become all-consuming.
once again im very tired of people being like ‘this isn’t an Autism thing, this is just normal people stuff’
as if Autistics aren’t ‘NORMAL PEOPLE’, who experience NORMAL things in much more intense ways and way more often
learn what Autism is
*sees person dunking on someone calling a non-binary person a “narcissist”*
*sees the same person rope right back around to using narcissist as an insult*
Yes! My first response when someone tells me they don't like something (food, a TV show, the horror genre) is to ask why. Then you can decide if you can find something for them to try!
@The_Acumen@Infernal_struct especially since they never even ask *what* you dislike about it. if somebody doesn't like Mac and cheese because they've only had it with over cooked noodles, maybe trying it cooked differently would make a difference. but if they just don't like cheese, not so much!
My partner told me a while ago they hated horror movies. They just don't like jumpscares. That's easy. Find good movies without them, or watch the movies yourself first and write down when all the jumpscares are so you can warn them. Hello horror movie nights!
