Over the last 36 hours, we have witnessed the very soul of Nigel Farage — his essence.
It has been over a month since he went into hiding, since serious questions began to be raised over his undeclared £5M donation.
A month since he appeared in front of TV cameras or underwent any questioning at all.
At 8am yesterday morning, Farage released a video, from a field somewhere, calling for rage. Calling for an end to the mythical two-tier policing.
Make no mistake, those were very carefully chosen words — he understood what he was unleashing, and his wish was granted last night in Southampton.
On Tuesday, the Home Secretary made a statement to the House regarding the murder of Henry Nowack. There was, as always, an opportunity to question Shabana Mahmood — was Nigel Farage in attendance?
No, of course not.
Today, Farage was granted a question at PMQs — the showpiece spectacle of the political week in which the country's news and politics fanatics tune in to watch — was Nigel Farage in attendance?
Yes, of course he was.
He had somehow found his way into work after missing 77 separate votes in Parliament because … he would, at least for three minutes, be the centre of the country's political attention.
His question was about the murder of Henry Nowack and the violence that erupted [on his command] last night, but he would not condemn it or call for calm.
Instead, he 'suggested' that this rioting might escalate.
This afternoon, he has performatively written to the BBC because someone on Newsnight dared to accuse him of inciting the violence — playing his perpetual victim card. Again.
And there we see the soul of Nigel Farage — a craven, desperate for attention, evil, petty and pointless man.
END RANT.

Went to the grocery store this morning
Bread, milk, eggs
$47.63
The screen asked if I'd like to round up to support a children's hospital
I pressed no
The cashier looked at me
The woman behind me looked at me
My wife looked at the ceiling
Again
This company made $14 billion last year
They can round up
Went to get gas after
The pump asked if I'd like to add $1 to support veterans
I support veterans
I pressed no
A $200 billion oil company asking me to fund their charity while I'm paying $3.89 a gallon
That's not philanthropy
That's outsourcing
Drove through for lunch
Taco Bell
The screen said "round up for education?"
A fast food company asking me to fund scholarships while paying their employees $11 an hour
I pressed no
My wife said "you know you're arguing with screens today"
She was right
But the screens started it
Went to the pharmacy
Picked up a prescription
$340 after insurance
The screen asked if I'd like to donate $1 to help families in need
I just paid $340 for a medication that costs $4 to manufacture
And now you want a dollar
I pressed no
The pharmacist said "it's just a dollar"
I said "it's never just a dollar"
She didn't respond
Got home
My wife said "you said no to a children's hospital, veterans, education, and families in need today"
I said "no. I said no to four corporations who want me to fund their goodwill so they can put it in their annual report"
She was quiet
Then she said "you're not wrong"
I said "I know"
She said "but you're still going to look like a monster"
I said "I'd rather look like a monster than quietly fund a billion-dollar company's PR strategy at the register"
She didn't disagree
But she didn't look at me either
Plz fix. Thx.

On this day, 31 years ago, Ukraine signed the Budapest Memorandum. Under this agreement, Ukraine relinquished the world’s third-largest nuclear arsenal in exchange for security assurances from the United States, the United Kingdom, and russia.
Before the Memorandum was signed, renowned political scientist and international relations scholar John Mearsheimer warned that Ukraine should keep its nuclear weapons. He argued that this was the most effective way to prevent a future russian-Ukrainian war, describing such a war as a potential “catastrophe” that could lead to repeated conquest of Ukraine and “undermine peace across all of Europe.”
Despite these warnings, Ukraine was pressured by the US into signing the Budapest Memorandum and dismantling its nuclear arsenal. As part of the agreement, Ukraine destroyed its fleet of long-range strategic bombers and transferred more than 1,000 cruise missiles. The United States even assisted in destroying Ukraine’s bomber fleet.
In return, Ukraine received “security assurances” from the US, the UK, and russia.
Russia, of course, has brutally violated these assurances along with dozens of other treaties. In fact, the same missiles Ukraine surrendered to russia are now being used against Ukrainian cities.
And now, instead of honoring those commitments, the United States is pressuring Ukraine to surrender its own land to the aggressor — offering another set of “assurances” that will collapse the moment they are tested.
Budapest was a historic mistake. Repeating it today would not bring peace — it would pave the road to the next, even bloodier war.
BREAKING: The Washington Post unleashes a scathing takedown of Trump after he smeared their murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi during a playdate with the brutal Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
This is just a taste of what the history books will have to say about Donald...
"The United States government often advances its national interests by working with nasty people, and Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is one of the nastiest," the paper's editorial board wrote. "It’s one thing, however regrettable, to deal reluctantly with him. President Donald Trump’s performance at the White House Tuesday was something else entirely: weak, crass and of no strategic benefit to America."
The opinion piece was entitled "things happen," a direct quote from Trump's Oval Office meeting yesterday with MBS. When asked about the assassination — in which Khashoggi was murdered and dismembered with a bone saw — Trump dismissively said that "things happen" and that Khashoggi was an "extremely controversial" man who a "lot of people didn't like."
Trump falsely claimed that MBS "knew nothing about that," when in fact he ordered the killing. The president also chided a reporter for trying to "embarrass our guests by asking a question." The disgraceful remarks were a major PR boon to MBS and are rendered all the more shameful by the fact that Khashoggi was a U.S. resident.
"These distortions dishonor Khashoggi’s legacy, stand at odds with the facts and are beneath the office of the president," the Post's editorial board wrote. They explained that Khashoggi's reporting for their outlet allowed him to stand strong against "the Saudi regime’s repressiveness at home and recklessness abroad."
"The reality is that while Trump advocates peace through strength, he showed nothing but debility," they wrote. "No doubt other dictators took note. Legitimizing and defending Mohammed this way will embolden him and his ilk to mistreat not just journalists but any Americans — knowing that they’ll probably face no real consequences."
The board slammed Trump for greeting MBS "cost-free with an honor guard of black horses, herald trumpeters and fighter jets."
"Forgetting Mohammed’s brutality and Khashoggi’s warnings is a choice, and Trump made the wrong one," they concluded.
At the root of all of this horror is, as usual, Trump's insatiable greed. He doesn't want to upset bin Salman because Saudi Arabia has proven to be an incredibly lucrative personal partner for his family. The Saudis poured $2 billion into Jared Kushner's firm — and that's just one of the deals that we know about. Until a full forensic investigation is undertaken, there's no telling how much the Trumps have made by buddying up to a murderous tyrant.
Please retweet and ❤️ to demand a Congressional investigation into Trump's Saudi connections!

Never forget it! One root cause of why Putin’s Russia is waging a new war in Europe lies in the fact that Stalin’s Russia escaped punishment as one of the initiators of the Second World War.
