I’ve watched the film of this ten times.
I’m having a hard time figuring out why walking toward the sideline, getting lined up and pointing to the ref to make sure your alignment is good, getting the thumbs up from the ref and the ball being snapped is “unfair tactics.”
We don’t have to be afraid to come to Jesus, He knows what we have done and He still chose to die for you and me, because He loves us. Put your faith in Jesus and He will save you from sin and give you new and eternal life. Don’t be afraid, follow Jesus. 🙏🏽
“When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.”
Luke 5:8, 10b-11
"They're not going to go from 12 to 8 (teams) because this is a greed play. It's a money play for everybody involved, including this network."
Michael Wilbon lays into ESPN for its involvement in the expanded CFP, while Tony Kornheiser has some words for SEC diehards:
Here’s a long list of players and coaches that shared their faith/gave glory & praise to Jesus Christ during the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal 🧵
“I talk about three things: Love Jesus. Work hard. Treat people right... My relationship with Jesus is the only way I can be everything I need to be.”
- Boise St. HC Spencer Danielson (@Coach_SD)
"Coach D you changed my life, I didn't know God until I got to Boise State."
An Emotional moment between Ahmed Hassanein and Spencer Danielson following the Fiesta Bowl.
“Should nothing of our efforts stand
No legacy survive
Unless the Lord does raise the house
In vain its builders strive
To you who boast tomorrow's gain
Tell me what is your life
A mist that vanishes at dawn
All glory be to Christ”
Seriously praying for Brent Venables
He gets paid more than enough to handle the adversity, but to be publicly pantsed like this consistently while putting in 110% effort and humility- with a fanbase screaming at him- all the while his wife is fighting for her life
Brutal
FOX announcer Brock Huard articulated it perfectly on the broadcast tonight:
“If only coaches voted, Ashton Jeanty would win the Heisman. I fully believe that. They know. Travis Hunter is the most spectacular and most dynamic player, but the BEST player, who has elevated his team to a championship, the Playoff, and a CFP bye week, is Ashton Jeanty.”
7 time national champion OU, 14 time Big 12 champ OU was a pick 6 away from going 0-8 in their inaugural SEC season.
Failure in preparation at every level.
