🚨 BREAKING: Thailand has officially blacklisted Trump consultant Michael B. Alfaro & myself, Gary Franchi, Chief White House Correspondent for Next News Network — after our reporting on the Cambodia–Thailand border crisis reached millions, triggered President Trump’s direct intervention, and led 70,000 Cambodian monks to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Michael traveled to Cambodia during the August ceasefire period, after Trump warned both nations they would face tariffs if hostilities continued.
On the ground he met with Deputy PM Sun Chanthol, Tourism Minister Huot Hak, and spoke by phone with Prime Minister Hun Manet & First Lady Pich Chanmony.
He documented families displaced into plastic tents, schools & temples destroyed, and 18 Cambodian soldiers still being held captive by Thai forces after being lured to the border under a false “peace” meeting.
His livestream drew over 9 million viewers in just one hour, exposing the truth that mainstream media ignored.
I amplified those findings to millions more through Next News Network. As a White House-credentialed journalist who has reported from NATO & the White House press room, I’ve used my platform to ensure the Cambodian people’s voices were heard.
The response? A smear campaign launched by the Thai army & left-wing reporters, calling Michael a “lobbyist” and me “just a YouTuber.” Their intent was clear: discredit us to bury the truth.
And when that failed, they escalated: Thailand blacklisted Michael Alfaro — and targeted me by name — in a desperate attempt to silence our reporting.
But the truth is out. President Trump issued a dramatic ultimatum after reviewing Michael’s footage: Cambodia & Thailand must return to the table or face U.S. withdrawal & tariffs. Within hours, both nations held their first peace talks since the conflict reignited.
Now the Cambodian people call Michael a hero, and in September, Cambodian-American communities will honor both of us with a Champion Trophy for standing with them when few others would.
And today — history was made. 70,000 Cambodian monks just nominated President Donald J. Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his role in ending the decades-long border conflict. This extraordinary moment is a direct result of the truth Michael exposed in Cambodia.
Thailand can blacklist us. They can smear us. But they can’t erase the fact that our reporting reached the President of the United States, helped force peace talks, and has now contributed to President Trump’s historic Nobel Peace Prize nomination.
I told people avoid Thai people they lie a lot I am so happy 😀 they listen to me 👂
PHNOM PENH--Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) Director Heng Ratana clarified on August 16 that the PMN-2 landmines, which Thai officials accused Cambodian forces of laying on Thai territory and later displayed to foreign delegates, were not armed, noting that the safety pins remained intact.
“If these PMN-2 landmines were laid to cause incidents, the arming pin would have been removed to make them functional,” Ratana wrote in a post that included photos.
A landmine’s safety pin is a device that prevents detonation until it is removed, often a pin or clip that locks the firing mechanism in place.
His remarks followed a visit organized by the Thai foreign ministry, which brought foreign diplomats and civil society groups working on landmine clearance to Sisaket Province for briefings on the tense situation along the Thailand-Cambodia border.
