🔒 HotCell moves risky Active Storage processing out of the Rails application and into isolated containers with no network or credentials, limiting the damage from vulnerabilities in tools such as libvips, ImageMagick, and ffmpeg. #Rails https://t.co/yh2WN8N3mv

The purpose of a system is what it does, but only for those observing it. In the Closing Keynote of #RailsWorld 2026, @tenderlove covers Ractors, ZJIT, and how AI agents chained a https://t.co/R9c5fU1iCE caching bug into a Rube Goldberg attack.

Aaron's an AI enthusiast, but his takeaway is clear: your compiler promised you the as-if rule, and your AI hasn't. So keep reading your code.

Inspired by @tobi and his datatree I built the same thing but for AWS billing.

It shows per resource breakdown and you can export JSON and ask your AI agent to review.

🌿 Herb brings HTML-aware ERB parsing to Rails, catching broken markup and invalid Ruby before templates reach the browser. A look at what Herb checks, what it can fix automatically, and the cost of using it. #Rails https://t.co/rudpUj6qn6

[Marco Roth @marcoroth_]

Today is a big day for Herb! It's built into Rails 8.2 by default for all HTML+ERB views.

My talk at #RailsWorld in Austin today answered three questions: What is Herb? What ships in Rails 8.2? And what does this enable?

Herb v0.11 and ReActionView v0.6 released alongside it.
