Many are asking for history on StreamLabs’ conduct, so here’s a (non-comprehensive) list:
Originally “Twitch Alerts” named in early 2014 despite being a CLEAR violation of Twitch ToC, they made NO attempt to clarify they were not affiliated until almost a year later.

@thisisredlitre@agdtinman@elliottgray Customizability. See FFXIV.
It's easy to prune and simplify when you start with something robust and comprehensive. But if you start off limited then everyone is gimped, and you need external/third-party tools to do anything useful.
Hi @TwitchSupport@Twitch@TwitchDev
Can I please pay a monthly fee to you, equal to my supposed ad revenue so that no one on my channel ever has to see an ad again?
I would like the viewer experience to be back in the broadcaster's hands and I'm sure others would too.
NEXT BIG PUSH:

Anything you can do to help is needed.
Partnership is a goal that isn't met by 1 person, it's a community effort~
LETS DO IT TOGETHER!
1/ THREAD: As someone who's been researching and writing about #UBI since 2013, I can tell you that @SteveForbesCEO just expressed a ton of assumptions that are either a complete misunderstanding of how UBI works or factually incorrect based on the evidence we already have.
New blog post up today. It's a quick visualization exercise of a future 20 years from now where thanks to having adopted UBI in the 2020s, we think differently about work and leisure, and understand the importance of agency and self-ownership of our time.

Here's my latest article. All I can do is hope people read it carefully, share it, and take action to stop what's happening and to prevent what's coming. It doesn't need to be this way. We can choose to build the better future. But we need to start NOW.

It's not that unconditional basic income solves everything, but imagine you needed to open 100 locked doors. The most efficient way to go about opening them is to find a skeleton key that unlocks any door. We still have to open them, but now we can. That's UBI. It's a needed key.
Why does UBI have so many positive effects across the board where it fully or partially alleviates so many problems? Because money is a tool that grants access to resources, and many problems exist because of insufficient access, unstable access, and extreme inequality of access.
Here's the text of a speech I gave where I encourage people to think about the way we have set up our civilization through the perspective of an alien. Try to think about money from that perspective. What is it? It's trust. UBI is trusting you by default.
https://t.co/wNuZ1ADVL1
The reason UBI is so powerful is because it is society saying, "Okay, instead of earning trust in order to gain access to the resources we've locked up as property, let's just trust people with access to a basic amount of resources, and do it in a way people can always count on."
This then too gets us to bigger questions. Why did we ever prevent ourselves from free access to the resources we need to live? Was that a moral thing to do? Is it okay to prevent people from getting what they need to stay alive because they didn't do what we may want them to do?
Once we start asking these questions, there's no going back. Unconditional basic income works. It works because it's trust where now we distrust. But besides the fact it works it reveals that what we've been doing all along is "as odious as it is unjust."
