In a previous regional, I erroneously played 5 My Era Begins in my Blackbeard deck. After hastily deciding to not verify my deck the night before, I played 8 rounds without noticing the 5th copy until a judge checked my deck.

After reflecting for the past few weeks, I’ve decided to take extra steps to partially remedy the situation.

I’m planning on raffling the 2 prize cards earned in that tournament to the 8 players who I played with an illegal deck and who potentially had an opportunity to place better in my stead.

I know this is not a perfect solution but I hope this is a small step in the right direction to help rectify the mistake.

Lastly, I wanted to apologize to the 8 players involved for ruining the integrity of our match with my laziness. I promise to hold myself to a higher standard moving forward.
