This patch upgrade follows v4.0.0 and includes fixes for:
- legacy historical queries
- staking/validator delegation query behavior
- wasm IBC handling (including missing raw packet handling)
- follow-up API/Swagger updates

This upgrade brings Cosmos SDK v0.53.6 (ABCI 2.0 / CometBFT), CometBFT v0.38.21, wasmd v0.61.8, and wasmvm v3.0.3, plus key ecosystem compatibility notes for SDK v0.53 (tx logs/events + LCD endpoint changes).

Testing has been performed extensively on testnet with multiple release candidate and in mainnet-fork/state upgrade runs.

Integrators (RPC/LCD/indexers) should review the required changes ahead of the halt height.

Terra Classic Core v4.0.0 has been running on testnet for ~2 months, with multiple release candidates tested together with testnet validators and dApp providers. The network has been operating stably.

As we begin preparing for the mainnet upgrade (expected in ~4 weeks, around Apr 5, aligned with CEX pre-notification timelines), we invite projects to verify their deployments on testnet and share any feedback or issues within the next few days so they can still be considered as we finalize preparations for mainnet deployment.

In the meantime, we will prepare the necessary documentation and coordination steps to help ensure a smooth mainnet upgrade.

[Dev update] SDK v0.53 introduces a breaking change: the Cosmos SDK no longer constructs legacy logs for transaction queries or broadcast responses. The canonical output is now events.

This may affect dApps or tooling that rely on tx.logs.

I want to take a few minutes to give my appreciation not only to all validators and community members still active on #TerraClassic, but also to all L2s building here.
Some say this chain is doomed or dead already, but we have passionate builders that won't simply let that happen. If you look at how many projects willingly and knowingly took the risk and efforts to build on Cosmos, specifically Terra Classic, it shows that there is belief in a revival even after more than three years since the crash. Building takes time, set-backs and standing up again when things go south. It takes going through disagreements, maybe even fights, and still find a common ground to proceed.

So, thanks to people and teams like @garuda_defi, @_Terraport_ , @JurisProtocol (hey @luna_lover69, staked 1b in gold as promised 😇), @0xSelenium, @WESOWorld, @nuenghandsome, @pixel_pengs and all the others still around, building silently to bring utility to the chain and attrackt (back) users.

We'll get there.

After the v3.6.0 Wasmd unforking, some validators may experience
• PebbleDB nodes (not officially supported) can hit a 4 GB batch panic when compaction rewrites too many key/value entries at once — this crashes the process.
• GoLevelDB nodes don’t crash but may stall temporarily during pruning or compaction for 1–2 hours before recovering.

These effects stem from the massive data migration (~26 M WASM keys) and can reappear on nodes' first prune historical states.
Validators can check their pruning settings in `app.toml`

✅ Mitigation:
Hexxagon and Allnodes provide pruned snapshots that are unaffected by this issue.
Please do not panic if your node stalls at its pruning height — and do not kill or restart terrad during that time, as it will rerun the pruning cycle.

Good morning, #LUNCCommunity,

tomorrow we've got the chain upgrade to v3.6.0 from @orbit__labs.
As it contains a massive migration of wasmd in the upgrade handler, I would advise every #LUNCvalidator to take a snapshot pre-upgrade if possible (mind the disk-space).

Also keep an eye on your RAM usage and have some on-disk swap space configured (just in case…).

While the upgrade was tested in local environments and on rebel-2 testnet, mainnet has a massively higher data size for cosmwasm and a lot more contract and code instances. I don't expect something to go wrong, but it is hard to anticipate the memory and resource usage during the migration of Millions of entries.
So better to be safe than sorry.

I'll probably use the upgrade to prune some data and upgrade server packages, so it might be that my validator will miss some blocks during the upgrade in case 67% are back online before that. Just so the @Galactic_Shift delegators are aware. Nothing to worry about 😅
