@KailynNelson @TaelurAlexis There's not one right answer and it's more a conversation with your interviewer who's going to help out during the design. That's when you showoff your reasoning skills in an organized manner.

@KailynNelson @TaelurAlexis They're usually open questions about putting a system together. You're excpected to be able to go over how you'd design a system to provide a service like Instagram or YouTube or Facebook or Gmail.

@harriepw Went through 3h video interview, recruiter told me there would be some coding. No mention of system design questions. I was asked to design an email service in 25 minutes...via webcam. With all major features implemented.

The rejection email simply said that they already moved forward with other candidates. But they hoped I'd consider other positions. Should I just "get the hint"? Were they just politely turning me down ? (Probably)

@molly_struve You can't escape liars easily though. My SO recently got tricked into a place where they're all working 9 to 9. Any advice on how to mitigate these occurrence?
