@Polisburo_1st@AskAnshul Fire Safety Norms apply to all premises that operate restaurant-bar/eating houses. Only residential lal- dora units are exempt.
Dear @DelFireService,
Hauz Khas Village Building No. 26 has six restaurants operating from a single building with only a 2-foot-wide staircase. If a fire breaks out, how will hundreds of people evacuate, and how will firefighters enter the building?
This needs an urgent fire safety inspection and immediate action before a tragedy happens.
Hauz Khas Village, Building No. 26: Six restaurants are running from the same building, but there is only a 2-foot-wide staircase. None of the restaurants has a Fire Department No Objection Certificate (NOC), and even the building owner admitted this on camera.
The MCD has issued closure notices, but the restaurants continue to operate at night. During daytime inspections, they remain closed, making it difficult for the authorities to take action.
If a fire breaks out, how will 500–700 people escape through such a narrow staircase? And how will firefighters enter the building?
Are the MCD and the Delhi Government waiting for another major tragedy before taking effective action?
