I also think they won 44 in a row, which was the longest winning streak in 3A at that time. I may be wrong. Needless to say, 6th is pretty darn good & I love following y’all!

The Cuero Tree Board had their 3rd tree naming event this morning. This one was special, as this tree was named in honor of Wallace & Elizabeth Beck. Wallace was a long-time DeWitt County Commissioner, and was part of the Commissioners Court that hired me here in 1995.

Trey Kram, DeWitt County Game Warden, gives the Cuero Young Farmers an update on changes to 2019-2020 Texas game laws and regulations. The new 4 day doe season was the most popular change members were interested in hearing about. Thanks Trey for a great program tonight!

The DeWitt County Beef & Forage Committee met yesterday to discuss upcoming beef cattle programs for 2019-2020 and make final plans and preparations to the annual bull & replacement female sale. Thanks guys for your dedication to DeWitt County AgriLife Extension!

DeWitt County cotton variety demonstration harvest is complete. Special thanks to farmer Joseph Respondek for being demonstration cooperator, and AgriLife Agronomist Dr. Josh McGinty for his help with harvest data. We should have final results around October 1st.
