@willmovies I'd love to see Xie Miao team up with Joe Taslim again. Sometimes it takes forever for actors to work together again when that shouldn't be the case.
E.g. look at how Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Donnie Yen hardly ever worked together, which is kinda sad imo
@TheDougFiles Maybe it'd be a prequel. Although, it could also be used as this gen's SPL series, where you add a new cast and different story for each movie.
Good way to show some love to martial arts actors who've been at it for a while and highlight new talent.
@gliivsd Unfortunately, it's not just the creator but an issue with the culture itself. CP only became illegal due to international pressure, not bcos the average person over there thought it was wrong.
That's why we often see mangaka and anime try to circumvent those restrictions.
@Gingerdome81 I remember the two main leads in Snake Eyes about to fight and then it suddenly switched to some other characters instead of keeping the focus on the two leads.
@Timobros I definitely was heated. Been a fan of Kenji Tanigaki since the first live action Rurouni Kenshin movie, so when I first heard about Snake Eyes, I was happy for him, bcos fight choreographers don't get enough credit, and then I saw the final result...
They did my boy so dirty!
@GhidorahJoe Should also be noted that Yayan, Iko and the others were brought in to choreograph a fight scene, but JJ Abrams thought their suggestions were too violent.
@VyceVictus Let's also keep in mind that Joe Taslim will be starring in the Man from Nowhere remake by Kenji Tanigaki!
That will most certainly add another notch to his belt.
@CityOnFireNews Time to bring in Andy Le! Can't leave a Le brother out!
Hope to see more Asian talent in general. Particularly ones that have gone a bit unnoticed by the mainstream as well as some up and coming talent.
@Gingerdome81 Yeah, you gotta be pro-active about looking for great action movies. We just happened to be fortunate that Lionsgate got the distribution rights for The Furious to give it proper marketing and distribution.
Unfortunately a lot of solid action flicks don't get that.
@Gingerdome81 Yup. I always recommend the Rurouni Kenshin films whenever people complain about lackluster fights in Star Wars or don't believe in live action anime adaptations.
@kungfupete Hey @KenjiTanigaki
I know the movie just came out, but is there any chance we can get a Director's Cut (4 hours version) for the Blu-ray release of The Furious? 🥰
Oh boy! Just went with a bunch of #ManofTommorrow cast & crew to see #TheFurious. I didn't think Kenji Tanagaki could outdo himself after the spectacular Walled In, but man The Furious really showed him as one of the best action filmmakers working. We all loved it!
