BREAKING: OOPS! Trump panics after CNN, Politico, and MS NOW sue him for banning them and unleashes a pathetic rant about how much he loves free speech.

Donnie is SHOOK…

“The White House is not instituting an assault on the Free Press, something which I cherish,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “It is instituting an assault on the FAKE NEWS, something that has grown like Cancer in our beloved United States of America.”

“It is corrupt, purposeful, pervasive, fully coordinated, and totally out of control. It is a threat to our National Security, and must be stopped, NOW!” he added. “Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP”

The outburst came shortly after the three outlets in question — which were barred from the White House last Friday — released a joint statement announcing their lawsuit to overturn the blatantly unconstitutional ban.

“This morning, we notified the government that we are filing a lawsuit today to protect our First Amendment rights and defend the principle that the government does not decide what the press reports or publishes,” the joint statement read.

“Without notice or process, the White House revoked our journalists’ credentials because it objected to our reporting. Left unchallenged, this threatens press freedom and the public’s right to independent journalism free from government interference,” they added.

Clearly, Trump realizes that he’s losing the PR battle on this doomed-to-fail power grab and he can scarcely afford another negative news cycle with his awful approval rating and the midterms right around the corner. This is damage control.

And it is doomed to fail. Nobody outside of the frothing MAGA cult still believes that Trump supports the First Amendment. He supports free speech just so long as that speech is praising him. The moment that someone points out his myriad failures or mounts a challenge to his disastrous agenda, he rushes to strip their rights away.

And it’s going to be impossible to defend his ban on “fake news” grounds in court since that term just means “news that I, Trump, dislike.” Good luck getting a judge to endorse that idea.

The survival of our Constitution depends on Trump suffering a resounding defeat in this suit. He will.

BREAKING: LOL! Trump gets publicly humiliated at his big White House helipad event after the major outlets refused to give him a press pool — resulting in a lack of audio for his ranting remarks.

This one really backfired bigly on him...

"Yeah there— Okay, so there is no microphone because... There's no microphone because the pool cameras aren't there," said a Newsmax host reporting on the incident. "So maybe, Tim, this is one example of it backfiring just a little bit."

The video showed Trump cutting a ribbon to celebrate his hideous new White House helipad, but viewers couldn't hear what he was saying because of the press pool's absence. Since the reporters didn't show up, there were no high-quality professional microphones present.

On Friday, Trump barred CNN, Politico, and MS NOW from the White House on the grounds that they're supposedly "fake news," which just means that they accurately report on his disastrous administration.

In retaliation, CBS News, ABC News, CNN, Fox News, and NBC News banded together to announce that they would be suspending press pool coverage of Trump.

"The public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government. No administration should reject a news organization because it objects to its reporting," they said in a joint statement.

The press pool is a dedicated, rotating group of journalists, complete with cameras and audio equipment, that travels with the President to provide outlets with a steady stream of updates on his latest remarks and actions. They also provide video footage when he delivers a speech or attends a noteworthy event. It's clearly something that the attention-obsessed Trump took for granted. He failed to game this attack on the free press out and now he's paying the price.

And you just know that this is exactly the kind of thing that gets under his skin. He's fixated on all of these "renovations" and building projects, and he was presumably looking forward to this helipad unveiling. What should have been a moment of gloating and self-congratulation turned into a display of muted helplessness.

The sheer number of lies from President Trump about Canada – growing again today – is remarkable. Just some fact checks from the last 18 months:
- Trump falsely said today that Canada's unemployment rate is "10% and rapidly rising,” though it is 6.4% (under the Canadian method that adds about a percentage point) and has been declining for three months
- Trump falsely said today that Canada does 95% of its business with the US, though 72% of Canadian exports went to the US last year
- Trump falsely said today that high Canadian agricultural tariffs have caused the entire US trade deficit with Canada, though that deficit is overwhelmingly caused by US imports of cheap Canadian crude and though something like 97% of US ag exports to Canada are tariff-free
- Trump has falsely said Canada generally doesn’t “take” US agricultural exports, though Canada is the world’s second-biggest buyer of those exports
- Trump has falsely said the Canadian public likes the idea of becoming the 51st state, which the Canadian public overwhelmingly opposes
- Trump has falsely said Canada is one of the world’s highest-tariff countries, though it is actually low in WTO global rankings
- Trump has falsely said Canada essentially doesn't have a military, though its military has fought with the US in multiple wars and its force size ranks in the upper half of NATO
- Trump has falsely said Canada hiked its dairy tariffs during the Biden administration, though they hadn’t changed since Trump’s first presidency
- Trump has falsely said the US trade deficit with Canada is “$200 billion,” though it is nowhere close
- Trump has falsely said Canada prohibits US banks, though it doesn't and though more than a dozen US banks were operating in Canada at the time he spoke
- Trump has falsely said Canada is “constantly surrounded” by Chinese and Russian ships, though that is fiction
- Trump has falsely said then-outgoing PM Trudeau was using their trade battle to run again for prime minister, though Trudeau obviously wasn’t running
