I was told not to use Wikipedia in school because it was crowd-sourced. My teachers also unironically told me democracy is good. They could have used Wikipedia as a tool to teach us how to check sources and vet claims, as we should always do with anything.

1. Old information is being memory holed. Libraries destroying books, https://t.co/LdMUtUWnE5 shuttering. Etc..
2. AI is just a non-transparent search engine. Ask it a question, it does queries and aggregates an answer.
3. The old, Lindy info will soon be gone and you'll be told AI can find the answers to your problems. It cannot. It will not. It will search an increasingly error laden database.
4. The fund of human correct knowledge is decreasing and will decrease AND the skills necessary for knowledge creation are being destroyed in the west.
