People have devotion to political parties the same way with religion. One of the reasons why people resonate with Talarico is because, he's not trying to convince you to be a Democrat. He focuses on issues that affect the average Texan regardless of political affiliation.
When we read the news, it's easy to feel shocked & disappointed. But I have a lot of hope for Texas' future. The people of Texas are resilient, hardworking & focused on building something better. The future is still bright. God bless Texas!
Everything goes up with minimum wage. Everything looks good on paper but in reality, it'll strain small local businesses. California is going to get more expensive to live. From the grocery store to retail, everywhere that employs people will increase their prices.
I don't talk much about politics. Most people want the same basic things: decent paying jobs, affordable healthcare, good schools for their kids & leaders focused on solving problems instead of fueling division. That's the change people are looking for.
It's refreshing to see a politician who isn't campaigning on grievance politics. Instead, the focus is on pragmatism, bringing people from across the political spectrum together & getting things done. Concise, practical & results driven. That's the kind of leadership I respect.
They say it in good faith, despite reality. The other thing that's irritating, is the concept of courting anyone just to tick a box. Nuances are not allowed. Copy paste recommendations are the norm. Unfortunately, solitude for many is the norm.
โGet married youngโ is trendy in right wing discourse, but it's only actionable advice for an established couple that's been postponing marriage unnecessarily
For single people who want to be married and it's not working out, it just lands as a virtue signal
You can't snap your fingers and get a spouse on demand, sadly
Men NEVER marry women based on their potential. They marry based on who they are at that moment in time. I'm not going to address whether or not ladies should marry men based on their potential not for who they are. Someone else will pick up that fight.
Reality check: A lot of women marry men for their potential not for what they are. In fact, you'll see a lot of those comments from men right here on this platform, desperately wanting women to be with them for their potential, not what they are.
The only expectations for your employees are for them to execute their roles, efficiently. They'll be willing to work harder if they have equity in the company but most companies don't offer that. Equity is usually reserved for blood relatives or investors.
Can people act their age? If you don't want negative comments about your looks/the way you dress, have you tried not posting yourself on social media? I don't know, just a thought. People are addicted to attention.
Many countries use prison labor for agricultural & construction work. Slave labor is not the term to use. It's hard labor as part of their prison sentence.
Turns out Taylor Farms uses prison labor also known as SLAVE LABOR to pick its lettuce paying inmates a $1.00 an hour while the Department of Corections gets $4.75 an hour.

As contractors descend on Big Bend, more than 140 river outfitters, local businesses and recreation organizations are urging Texas leaders to stop CBP's plans to cut off access to the Rio Grande and blast new roads through Big Bend National Park.
Signatories include virtually every local river outfitter, Texas Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, American Whitewater, Big Bend Tourism Alliance, Patagonia, Outdoor Alliance and more than 130 others.
CBP's current plans show them cutting off river access with steel "vehicle barriers" at almost every put-in and takeout along the Rio Grande in the region.
The letter warns that CBP's current plans "would end commercial and recreational river use in Big Bend National Park and along the Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River, crippling local businesses and the regional tourism economy for no demonstrable security benefit."
Nobody wants this destruction to unfold. Texas leadership must step up to save their state's rural economies, natural heritage and most beloved national park.
Howdy, Fort Worth! ๐๐ค

A crown jewel of our National Park system is being desecrated by people who have never been and donโt care what it means to Texans.
Texans donโt want this.
HAPPENING NOW: Bulldozers are approaching Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park, where DHS has waived every environmental protection and public transparency law for the project. It's all moving forward in in total secrecy, against wishes from all 5 regional sheriffs.
