John C. Reilly: “Why aren’t people on the right wing concerned about human rights? They’re human too. Elon Musk says don’t be fooled by the empathy trap. Empathy is not a trap, empathy is a superpower. It’s what makes human beings exceptional, our ability to look outside ourself”
Hey maga, has it sunk in yet that your pedo god king started a war to distract from his pedophilia that he just lost and now you are going to pay a bunch of Muslims that you hate and say are incompitable with the west 100s of billions of dollars after they killed 13 of our country men and destroyed all our bases in the middle east that we spent two decades and 100s of billions of dollars building?
Just curious.
Congratulations to Trump for securing a concept of a framework for a memorandum of understanding that neither side appears to understand, which might someday lead to a ceasefire that could eventually lead to peace. 🇺🇸💪
In 2022, for-profit health insurers paid $10B in compensation to agents and brokers for enrolling individuals into Medicare Advantage plans.
My legislation would bar financial perks for agents and brokers and ensure they work with patients to choose the best plan for them.
@AccredoPharmacy We have been going round and round with your billing dept for weeks and now it's going to cost us thousands because a $2.4K CC payment was misapplied and has not shown in our annual out-of-pocket spend. You guys had better get it together.
Let's walk through what actually happened here, in order.
DOGE cut the USAID program specifically designed to prevent screwworm from crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. DOGE cut USDA's animal disease control and prevention funding. That funding had supported more than 180 outbreak investigations in 22 countries and capacity-building in more than 160 laboratories. The screwworm monitoring and response program that watched the border for exactly this parasite - cut.
Then screwworm showed up in Texas cattle. Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a disaster for Zavala and Uvalde counties this week.
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins went on CNBC this morning and blamed the Biden administration, 17 months out of office.
Her specific words: "obviously not much had been done to push back."
The program that was supposed to push back existed. DOGE eliminated it in March 2025. Rollins has been Agriculture Secretary since February 13, 2025. The cuts happened on her watch.
Beef prices are already high. Ranchers in south Texas are now dealing with a flesh-eating parasite that was eradicated in this country in the 1960s - eradicated, specifically, using the sterile fly program her department defunded.
The flies existed. The program existed. The budget existed.
Until it didn't.
@atrupar Tiny Tooth Tim is trying to explain to broke people that inflation is good news. Next he’ll explain that being hungry is a sign you’re saving money on groceries.
@ProjectLincoln I think that everyone needs to acknowledge that Trump thinks in the context of everything being a transaction where something of monetary value is to be gained personally. It doesn't seem as though he's interested in the consequences or the implications of an action are.
