🌹We Will Remember Them.
In Dumfries wreaths were laid on behalf of @dgcouncil by Cllr John Campbell and the people of Dumfries by Provost, Cllr Tracey Little.
Lest We Forget
Thank you to Lilly and Reilly, senior pupils from Wallace Hall Academy, for representing @dgcouncil by laying the wreath at the Thornhill War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday.
Despite the heavy rain, it was heartening to see so many residents come together to pay their respects and honour those who have served and paid the ultimate sacrifice.
#LestWeForget
🌹Today, in communities across our region, we lay wreaths and hold services to remember the personal sacrifice made by our fallen heroes, in past and recent conflicts, so that we can experience the freedoms we do today.
🌹Lest We Forget.
