Bought some $PEP at ~$132 and TSE:CNR at ~$137 today. Both wide moat stocks trading at historically high dividend yields. Not expecting very good near term returns, but as always I invest for the long term.

@EEconomixta If we assume free cash flow (FCF) per share of $7.05 based on earnings guidance for 2024, we arrive at a dividend per share of $2.82 for 2024.

Current dividend per share is $6.04/year. Implies a +50% cut.

Sold out of my $MMM 3M position today at $98.81. Also sold off my $SOLV shares for $63.10 that I still had from the spinoff.

Dividend cut at 3M triggered this action.

@EEconomixta Management hasn't given a figure for the new $MMM dividend, but it will be declared in May. However, we do know it will be "approximately 40% of adjusted free cash flow," according to Executive Chairman (and former CEO) Mike Roman on the earnings call.

Shareholders received 1 share of SOLV for every 4 shares of 3M they owned pre-spin

SOLV hasn't declared dividends yet

It looks like a stealth dividend cut
