The employees have been performing their duties on the basis of the rescue project since 2019. The Health Department took over the project as soon as the project expired in November 2025.

A total of 128 rescue employees, including drivers, emergency medical technicians, fire rescuers and control room operators, deployed at the emergency response centers on the Coastal Highway and RCD Highway, have been waiting for their salaries for the last three months.
