Where are the Arabs?
A question Gazans have been screaming every day into the cameras.
“The Arabs are napping. The Arabs are nowhere to be seen. The Arabs, and I’m talking about the Arab rulers, have buried their heads in the sand” - @FawazGerges https://t.co/0LAHen87sp
“They asked their [IDF] commanders ‘why do I need to push a human being at gunpoint into a tunnel’ and their officer told them too many dogs in the dog unit died.”
An excerpt from my interview w/ @weimanadav from @BtSIsrael on the use of Palestinian civilians as human shields.
Soldier testimonies we’ve collected make clear that the use of human shields in Gaza has again been fully normalized in the IDF. We say "again" since it's been normalized before. Our executive director @weimanadav elaborated to @DHamamdjian of @NBCNews:

Marwan Barghouti’s been imprisoned for 20yrs, yet many Palestinians want him to lead, as does the ex Shin Bet chief:
“When I say that he should be released in order to be the future leader (..), I’m not doing it for all Palestinians, I’m doing it for us” https://t.co/6M6aVoduGw

Gaza school year begins with no classes to attend.
Once at the top of class, Sama, 8,
now doesn’t leave her mother’s side. Traumatised by Israeli strikes, she began losing her hair within days of the war starting.

Israel rescued 4 hostages in a surprise daytime op in June. The team of @nbcnews digital doc producers pieced together eyewitness & survivor accounts to understand how a targeted rescue mission aimed at saving 4 hostages, killed & injured 100’s of Gazans. https://t.co/lZhP0bcuZ2
I don’t know what Mark’s job description was. To those of us who relied on him he was a wizard. He always answered our calls for help, always had our backs. I told him many times, including the night before he died, that I never wanted to go on the road without him. RIP my friend
Some personal news … Joining the stellar team in the @NBCNews London bureau as a freelance correspondent. Looking forward to covering the U.K. and beyond for one of the biggest and most respected news organisations in the world.
U.K review finds lack of evidence in youth #gendertreatment.
“… we give young people potentially irreversible treatments and have no idea what happens to them in adulthood.”

Proud of this doc despite pushback in 🇨🇦 before it even aired:
Transgender Healthcare is arguably the most politicized field in children’s medicine. Transition can be lifesaving, but it can also end in regret.

Israeli media aren’t showing images of civilians in Gaza and the majority of Palestinians don’t believe Hamas killed
women and children on Oct. 7th.
Our latest @globalnews report on the Mideast media divide.

Female observation soldiers warned the IDF that Hamas was working on something. They saw them training & noticed suspicious activity by the border. What their superiors did with those warnings, nobody knows. Those women were either killed or abducted.

Family & friends - and she had many, of all faiths- said goodbye to longtime peace activist Vivian Silver today. It was incredibly moving.
Her brother tells me that even today, he believes she would have remained steadfast in her belief that war doesn’t lead to peace.
“Hamas wanted to have a certain number of individuals cross into Egypt to get medical attention to which the Israelis & Egypt have refused. Hamas essentially said if these 50 individuals who are of interest to Hamas cannot go through, then nobody goes through” - @Louis_Dumas9
Canadians in #Gaza were told evacuations would be begin today - that’s no longer the case. 🇨🇦’s Ambassador to Egypt, explains the hold up to @globalnews:
