In accordance with the President’s proclamation, and to honor the fallen USCP officers who valiantly died in the line of duty this past week, we have lowered the DHS flags to half staff.

Great to christen the Department’s official flagpole at DHS HQ. Here, it will fly proudly as the centerpiece of the Department, each day reminding us of our commitment to embody the relentless resilience of the American people to ensure a safe, secure, and prosperous Homeland.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Federal Protective Service. We are celebrating the incredible legacy that the men and women of FPS have built over five decades, valiantly carrying out their mission to protect public servants and the people they serve throughout our Nation

Violence in any form is unacceptable. NO one has the right to attack ANY federal institution regardless of motivation. Violent opportunists at the US Capitol grounds must be held accountable. We have a proud history of resolving our differences through peaceful means.

Honored to speak with our Coast Guard Patrol Forces Southwest Asia (PATFORSWA) in Bahrain today. These brave men and women partner with NAVCENT everyday to ensure the Arabian Gulf is as safe and secure as possible in order to protect our national and regional interests.

Yesterday, I signed a Declaration of Intent on Border Security and Management with Minister @Christodulides of #Cyprus to better collaborate on countering threats from terrorism, transnational organized crime and trafficking, and irregular migration.

Had an opportunity to see firsthand the UN Buffer Zone in #Cyprus. The U.S. Government supports efforts to reunify the island as a bizonal, bicommunal federation.

This donation from the US government to #Cyprus will allow international partners to train in a dedicated facility with cutting edge equipment to curb threats from malign regional actors and violent extremist organizations.
