Notice how none of the usual suspects, the feminists and the Karens, are crying about Lucia? That's because she is mid, just like the industry sensitivity readers wanted.

Her personality is masculine, her face is mannish, her mannerisms are "girl boss" tropes...
And yeah, I'm probably biased because I'm not really into "brown" women. My preferences lie squarely within the light-skinned European to east asian types... like Eve from Stellar Blade, etc.

Yeah, that mestiza face with a stronger jawline isn't my thing at all; I prefer more feminine face shapes.

The mainstream journalists aren't screaming sexism... no "male gaze," "objectification," or the tired "this is why women don’t play games" blah blah blah... It's because Lucia is what the industry wanted.

A non-white woman who is a main character "boss" in the Bonnie and Clyde vibe... a fantasy where she is the lead with a "male" sidekick with the personality of a wet paper bag who is always behind her.

GTA6 is still gonna print money, but the fans acting like starving dogs who have not had real food for a decade is kinda pathetic.

Someone pointed out that Jason seems like he was written/designed by a woman, and now I can't unsee it.

Tall, slim, yet muscular. White, yet "kind of gangsta, kind of southern." Quiet/barely talks. Sensitive. Obedient. Unconfrontational/polite, yet somehow still a rampaging killer. Puts his woman above all else.

I don't know who conceptualized Jason's character, but based solely on everything we've seen: he's an awful protagonist. I hope the game proves me wrong but I'm not confident it will, lol. Sad whipped dog energy to the max.

The writing, the storyline, the dialogue, it's all female-coded to such an extreme degree it's ridiculous.

They're trying to do the same thing every other mainstream franchise does: take a game for men, and then corrupt it so that they can bring in this coveted "female gamer" who doesn't exist.

The more you see the writing, the bad dialogue, it's like Domestic Girlboss Auto VI, not something anyone wanted from this franchise.

Another thing that bothers me about the GTA6 extended reveal is that Jason's character is so boring he might as well be a potted plant. The voice acting for him sounds like he is bored doing the character, and it really seems like it was "Lucia's" show.

His voice is low energy, mushy, the "tired Florida man".

He gets talked at while Lucia pushes the next job, introduces herself to various contacts, etc.

It really seems like, just like many other people said... that Jason was more of an afterthought because initially GTA6 was supposed to be just the girlboss.

Trailer 1 had Lucia in prison, and all the buzz was about her being the lead... but they knew that a "female-first GTA" wasn't going to sell well. Even the body positioning... She is standing in front, she is driving, she is walking in front.
