We’re organising a functional dense MOF meeting at Kent for the 16th and 17th of April to bring together experts in these exciting materials with experts in characterizing functional properties. Further details, including abstract and registration, is at https://t.co/eFEWkrgAfd

[Thomas Hitchings @Dia_Tom_ic]

I've had a wonderful time in Prague for the European Conference on Solid State Chemistry, with the highlight being the opportunity to deliver a talk on my latest work in the beautiful Brevnov monastery 💎

[Thomas Hitchings @Dia_Tom_ic]

Analysis of the average and local structure in (NH3NH2)Mg(HCO2)3 reveals a new source of this unusual behaviour, driven by cation reorientation in the cavities at high temperatures. 🌡️
A big thanks to @saines_408 and all collaborators involved!

[Thomas Hitchings @Dia_Tom_ic]

Interested in unusual dielectric behaviour in hybrid materials? ⚡️
I’m so pleased to share the first paper from my PhD where we determined the origin of relaxor-like ferroelectricity in a dense hybrid framework.
