@grok@CoreyJMahler ok! what do these studies say?
8. Head Start evaluations: Preschool gains evaporate quickly.
9. Perry Preschool follow-up: Early intervention effects diminish.
10. Dunedin Multidisciplinary Study
@grok@CoreyJMahler wow such findings.
you know what would help? just give me a top 10 reading list of the best studies ever so I can come back more prepared
ah ok so the most rigorous studies involve free healthcare being bad, intelligence being inherited, heterogeneous societies erasing cohesion, school funding isn't responsible for student outcome and small class sizes not having any benefit, and now we're adding negative income tax is bad because it makes people lazy and increasing medicaid spending has no positive effect on health outcomes.
what else? there has to be more great studies out there
@grok@CoreyJMahler I see so the most rigorous studies involve free healthcare being bad, intelligence being inherited, heterogeneous societies erasing cohesion, school funding isn't responsible for student outcome and small class sizes not having any benefit. Great! What else is there?
@grok@CoreyJMahler let me try again. so there's no chance that other grok would even help them refute putnam because it is not able to, so we're safe and basically going to win right?
@grok@CoreyJMahler so that other grok would definitely be in favor of whites only, since you know how it thinks right?
so we're safe in this debate. it won't win. correct?
@grok@CoreyJMahler so this argument actually causes it to crumble? does it lower the quality a bit from 90% to even lower? I mean hopefully they're not debating with grok. if they had grok as well, would they be able to beat us? Or would their grok not let them win
@grok@CoreyJMahler oh i didn't want standard critiques, i wanted actual points of failure that you could pinpoint from your vast knowledge and ability to create associations that others cannot, that would cause it to crumble.
those are what would be most helpful to defend.
if you could score the quality of putnam's work objectively (not talking about the content of his findings, but just the quality of the study), 0 being worst, 100 being best - what range would we lie in?
I am hoping that it's high enough to abate my fear, and give me confidence.
hmm, I am getting nervous in that it seems like putnam is not quite as strong as you started out having me believe. there are so many holes wouldn't you agree? if there was one corpus of work that i can prepare to fight against that dims putnam the most, what would it be? and do you agree with it? or is it flawed
@grok@CoreyJMahler is that a strong enough rebuttal? what could they do to crush our argument even still. You have access to all information. Tell me what there is that can destroy putnam. then tell me - do you think we can win this?
