Canada is beyond broken.

A man was sleeping when he was woken up to find an intruder in his apartment.

A fight took place when the person was able to defend himself from the criminal who had a weapon and the criminal suffered injuries.

For defending himself against the criminal, and saving his life, the resident is facing aggravated assault and assault with a weapon charges.

Oh and the criminal was already wanted for arrest for other offenses.
