@courtneyngarza@PISD_RISE I have the same problem! This is my goal as well. To put up copies and extras as soon as I get them or get rid of extras that I do not need.
@ajwillia21@PISD_RISE@jaimie_meza Jaimie is such a positive colleague to have! I also love that she is so hard working and turns any situation positive!
@PISD_RISE A13: Change is going to happen regardless. What we decided to do with that change is what matters. Sometimes life gives us situations that are unfair, but result in good life lessons. It is all about perspective. Turning the negative into a positive. #pisdRiseChat
@PISD_RISE A12: A goal I have for next year, is to be better organized. As far as extra copies or master copies for each TEK. I tend to keep more than I need. I plan to find a better way to organize these instead of just a pile. #pisdRISEchat
@PISD_RISE A11: @Teo_Pena1 was my saving grace this year! His positive outlook on any situation really helped to keep everything into perspective. You are an amazing friend and an even better colleague. #pisdRISEchat
@ajwillia21@SelContreras811 I like this! Just letting them have open conversations about math instead of it being formal! I also teach my students about "yet."
@SelContreras811 A5: For me becoming a teacher changed my perspective on math. It changed from how I do it on a daily basis to how can I teach my students the best way. I had to change my way of thinking about the process of math. #PISDMathChat#P3ProductiveStruggle
@CindyGarciaTX A4: The role of the teacher is to focus on what the students need, versus what is easier/most commonly used by the teacher. I tend to stick with what I know, instead of stepping out of my comfort zone. #PISDMathChat#BLBlueprint
@courtneyngarza@PISD_RISE Completely agree, it is all about the mindset. What you takeaway from the situation. Choosing to be positive or negative is a choice.
@PISD_RISE A10:I agree that the more you complain, the more likely it is to become a habit. I really liked the advice the author gave about thinking in that moment or perhaps at the end of the day about the positive things or moments that happened and being grateful for those. #pisdRISEchat
@PISD_RISE A9: Whenever I feel myself or students getting stressed in the classroom, I try to put on a GoNoodle or a brain break. This allows for the students and myself a few moments to take a break and refocus. #pisdRISEchat
@PISD_RISE A8: A behavior that triggers me is student's being disrespectful to myself or other teachers. I try to take a few breaths and redirect by telling/showing the student the correct way they could have responded. #pisdRISEchat
@PISD_RISE A7: I agree that it is important not to control your emotions, but let yourself feel them, while learning how to appropriately manage and respond to them in each situation. #pisdRISEchat
@HinojosaDeya @SelContreras811 My self-inventory had the same results for those both categories. I am better at reinforcing, but need to work on modifying the tasks.
