@MatNuclear You are a tether from a failed homeland that is notorious for barbaric behavior. That’s why you ain’t over there. Speaking on FBAs coming from your lineage is comically delusional.
Since everyone is talking about the Karmelo and Austin Metcalf case.
On May 3, 2022, at Belton High School in TEXAS, a fight broke out in a school bathroom between Caysen Allison (white) and Jose “Joe” Luis Ramirez Jr. (Hispanic).
Ramirez and Allison had reportedly been feuding after an earlier dispute.
During the fight, Allison stabbed Ramirez multiple times with a knife.
Ramirez later died from his injuries. Allison admitted to the stabbing but claimed he acted in self-defense.
The jury:
Found Allison NOT GUILTY of murder
Found him GUILTY of criminally negligent homicide, a lesser offense.
Why the Lesser Verdict?
At trial:
The defense argued Allison was being attacked and feared for his safety.
Evidence included video and testimony that Ramirez threw punches first and that Allison claimed he was outnumbered by Ramirez and his friends.
The jury rejected the murder charge but concluded Allison’s actions were criminally negligent.
What Caysen did the Hispanic kid was way worst than Austin and it didn’t get the same media attention.
BREAKING 🚨 DUE TO MURDER CHARGE, JURY BELIEVES KARMELO PROVOKED AUSTIN TO WALK UP 5 BLEACHERS AND TO ATTACK HIM WHILE KARMELO REMAINED SEATED.
THIS SH*T DONT MAKE ANY SENSE. 1st Degree Murder is insane !
No one agrees with that charge except Racist !
1 witness and 2 questions. No character witnesses, pastor, coach or teacher. No mental health professional or mitigation specialist.
A teenager is about to be sentenced for murder, possibly for life, and that is the entire punishment phase the defense put on. It lasted less than hour? In my years of covering high profile cases as a journalist, I have never seen this.
This is an obvious pattern.
No expert witnesses in the guilt phase. Opening statements waived and now this. A competent mitigation case for a young defendant takes months to build—Investigators, childhood records, trauma history, neurodevelopment screening. You construct a human being in front of that jury so they cannot reduce him to the act alone.
They sent his mother up there to say she loves him. Two questions and sat down.
There are only a few explanations. The family didn’t know what they were missing. Counsel made a bad bet that guilt phase sympathy would carry over. Or this defense was never adequately funded or staffed for a case this size.
Every one of those is a problem. Together they form the outline of an ineffective assistance of counsel argument on appeal.
The sentence hasn’t come down yet. But the question of how this defense was built, and for whom, is already answered.
The Karmelo Anthony verdict shows that the justice system has reverted back to the Jim Crow South era.
It is no longer about evidence.
It is no longer about right or wrong.
It is about keeping racial score through the prosecution and imprisonment of Black people.
It was no surprise that an all white jury would find a 19 year old kid, who was bullied and harassed by two 6’1” bullies, guilty of murder while he was minding his business.
We have seen this story before.
A young Black man is put on trial, and somehow the burden shifts from what happened to him, to why he should not have defended himself.
The facts become secondary.
The optics become everything.
The outcome feels predetermined long before the verdict is read.
People will tell you not to make it about race.
But race has always been part of the story in America.
The hard truth is that many Black people no longer believe they will receive the benefit of the doubt when their freedom is on the line.
And verdicts like this are exactly why.
At some point, we have to stop pretending that everyone is playing by the same set of rules.
Because the people watching this case saw something very different than what that jury claimed to see.
@MattWalshBlog There is ZERO chance Karma will let you make it to age 50. And there’s a %100 guarantee all of your female offspring will end up with black guys.
@tariqnasheed The fact that they were given the option to choose manslaughter instead of murder 1 and they still chose murder says a lot. Completely disregarding the facts of the case and definitions of the charges smh.
@ThePapaGut How would white ppl like for black ppl to walk up to them and say “as a white man, you are far more likely to be a pedophile and commit crimes against children than any other race.” Let’s start doing this exercise. I don’t see the problem since it’s statistically accurate.
