Congress should immediately define jurisdiction appropriately and pass it at a 51 vote threshold given the atrociously ridiculous decision from Benedict’s Roberts and Barrett.

That a United States Supreme Court would declare that China can destroy us through birth tourism and embed Chinese spies, who are citizens of the U.S. at birth is one of the most tortured and ridiculous holdings in the history of the United States and will be regarded in the same way that people look at Dred Scott and other embarrassing holdings.

I am introducing a Constitutional Amendment to end Birthright Citizenship.

Under current interpretations of American law, anyone born on American soil automatically becomes a U.S. citizen, regardless of whether the parent was here legally or not.  This is wrong and not at all the intent of those who wrote the 14th Amendment. 

We are a country filled with immigrants, and legal immigration is valuable and should be protected. But we are also a country whose borders have been too open and our generosity exploited too often. President Trump has moved to seal our border from illegal immigrants more than any other president.  

But we will have more to do.

We need to make sure that only children born to legal residents of the U.S. are automatically citizens. I have supported protecting birthright citizenship from abuse since the beginning of my tenure in the Senate, when I cosponsored the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2011, and now I am proposing an amendment to protect United States citizenship in case the Supreme Court fails to address this issue correctly.

A 37-weeks pregnant woman from Nigeria was reportedly trying to fly from the UK to the United States when a UK border officer named Sarah intervened. The goal was reportedly so the baby could be born on US soil and automatically receive American citizenship under the 14th Amendment (unlike in the UK, where birth alone doesn't grant citizenship unless a parent is British or settled).

Customs officers can deny entry to pregnant foreign nationals if they suspect the trip is solely for birth tourism or if there are concerns about medical costs.

We have flown a regular-sized American flag on the front of our house every day of the 24 years we've lived here.

We have newer neighbors that I would guess are in their early thirties. They have a five-year-old son.

My hubby is friendly with them.

Yesterday, the husband came over and had the nerve to ask my hubby to remove the flag because it, “triggers his son”.

Two things.

First, how does a five-year-old become “triggered” by the flag of his birth? Can you imagine what the parents are drilling into this poor kid?!

Second, the complete NERVE of this guy to ask.

Needless to say, today my husband replaced our regular-sized flag with a HUGE one.
