Kenyans cannot afford to remain passive observers. As rice farmers, traders, or consumers, you cannot rely on individuals like Okiya Omtatah, who is compromised by the National Intelligence Service, to challenge this policy in court. Nor can you depend on co-opted cannibalistic lawyers, driven by profit and unwilling to take on pro-bono cases in the public interest.

This import policy directly endangers your livelihoods. Waiting for it to take effect is not an option. You must take action by finding your own legal representation and filing a case to safeguard your interests against Ruto’s reckless and harmful decision.
