@PSRAutomation @zackdfilms1 It also depends on the range. My Dad got an arrow in his shoulder once but it was fairly long distance so probably not as serious as it could have been. (He was marking a longbow competition and stepped out from behind the target too early)

@PSRAutomation @zackdfilms1 It's not the sharpness really. Lots of arrows have fairly blunt bullet shaped tips. It works because of the length of the arrow. When the tip hits the target it begins to slow but the other end of the arrow is still moving, pushing it deeper.
