In older adults on hemodialysis, deprescribing was feasible and generally well tolerated, with no serious withdrawal-related events. Patients viewed discussions positively, though better workflow integration and communication are needed, according to study in #ASNKidney30. https://t.co/4YXUJL52gg
CKD is common in pulmonary hypertension. In >9,000 patients, worse hemodynamics, including higher right atrial pressure and pulmonary vascular resistance and lower cardiac index, were associated with worse kidney function and predicted incident CKD. https://t.co/pyuSMVnAvU #ASNKidney360

Is it time for clinicians to rethink “fistula first” for every older dialysis patient? The best access may be the one that aligns with the patient’s health, priorities, and quality of life, according to new research published in #ASNJASN. https://t.co/KFYQaSZtUj
🔥A new French cohort study (Laslandes et al., 134 adults with MCD (66.4 %)/FSGS) found that maintenance rituximab dosing between 6 to 12 months post-induction cut relapse risk substantially with no clear increase in severe infections.
🚨Our take: this is direction-setting, not practice-changing. It challenges a purely reactive, relapse-only approach; but not sure if it can justify routine fixed-interval maintenance for everyone. The future is individualized, risk-adapted retreatment, not calendar-based fixed dosing.
Thanks to @AJKDonline for the chance to share our thoughts.
