๐จ ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Jamie Carragher on Manchester United's transfer strategy:
๐ฃ๏ธ "Manchester United walking away from an ยฃ85 million move for Mateus Fernandes and signing Andrey Santos plus Youri Tielemans for roughly the same fee is brilliant business. That's how a big club should operate.
We saw the same thing when they walked away from Ederson after concerns during the medical process. Instead of spending a fortune on one player from a relegated side, they've brought in two proven midfielders with more experience for the same money.
There's still something about Manchester United that you just can't write off. That big-club mentality is always there. It finally looks like they're learning from the mistakes of the past. Credit where it's due."๐๏ธ

๐จ Michael Owen on Manchester United's transfer strategy:
Michael Owen ๐ฃ๏ธ
"I think I understand the direction Manchester United are trying to take in the transfer market, and to be honest, it's a strategy I can get behind.
For too many years, the club paid inflated fees for players, handed out massive wages, and immediately placed enormous expectations on them because of the price tag.
When things didn't work out, United were left trying to move those players on at a huge financial loss.
Look at Jadon Sancho as an example. United invested heavily in his transfer and wages, but it never worked out the way everyone expected.
Situations like that are exactly what the club is trying to avoid.
The current owners seem far more disciplined. Rather than overpaying for players, they're targeting signings they believe represent good value.
That not only protects the club financially but also removes some of the pressure from new arrivals, giving them a better chance to settle and perform.
If they stick to this approach, I think it's a much healthier way to rebuild Manchester United."
