As for paramount is they just to raise prices for paramount+ and change Pluto tv from free to cost money to make up the money lost. Remember Cartoon Network glitch and this going happened permanently if Warner brothers discovery not merger together with paramount.

Delayed the 4 Warner brothers discovery movies will give more time for 2028 and 1 paramount movie will give enough time for 2028. Do you wanted movie felt rush? Production a movie takes long time.

Let say 2027 Warner brothers discovery had 19 movies and paramount had 16 movies and it make 35 movies in 2027. If it did 30 movies Warner brothers discovery had 15 and paramount had 15 movies in 2027. Those extra movies needed more time to release.

what if paramount gave up on the Warner brothers discovery merger by September 30 and let Netflix buy warner brothers discovery? I think let Netflix take cnn if paramount Warner brother discovery merger failed.
