@ListerFarrar @Stephen_Andrew Many of us cannot leave our cars at home because we live out of the city and mass transportation is inconvenient or not available. Many of us can walk well so need to park close to where we are going. Busy bus stops are not appropriate for our use as no place to sit. .

@loisisabellagil Because I’ve had thyroid cancer I am under the care of an endocrinologist, and I got a phone call a month ago that said that he is on permanent sick leave.

@loisisabellagil I always found a bit tedious. Since I didn’t really like the taste of dates unless they were in the squares, mom could trust me not to eat any, ha ha.

@loisisabellagil Its pretty much the same, except Mom used more butter ans a little vanilla. Back then we bought the blocks of dates, and they often had pits in them. It was my job to cut the block up and little pieces and to make sure they were no it’s in the finished chopped product.

@ZaniniPamela @GiUknit @TheReelRandom When I was young, the adult children took their parents into their home and looked after them there. Usually a daughter. But often that daughter didn’t work, so there was always someone at home to look after the elderly.

@GiUknit @INLGiveAF @TheReelRandom Most people over the age of 50 are navigating this if their parents have dementia, or have fallen and broken, or have severe arthritis or Parkinson’s, or any number of debilitating illnesses. So the older the parent, the more chance for them to develop dementia etc.
