@TBAA73 What Sonic could take from Mario is learning to actually respect it's gameplay roots and characters instead of veering so far in the opposite direction of that, and copying the latest out of date trend.
@MelohRush 15th anniversary’s only saving grace was riders and that’s it, 06 damn near almost killed the franchise and sonic fans wanna say that game is amazing and “substantial” gtfo here💀
@KwamzTheFirst 1. That's blasphemy.
2. Can ya'll be patient?
Not trying to be mean, but this fandom does not understand the concept of patience. May I remind ya'll, the 20th Anniversary didn't have anything reveled until April 2011!
Good things come to those who wait.
@clowfoe So Sonic The Hedgehog 4?
The game with no original ideas.
The game plagued with the lazy automated design of 3D Sonic, and disrespected the games it's a sequel to. Not to mention a soundtrack that was so hit or miss.
Superstars has it's issues but it's better than this trash.
@clowfoe@james4153741670@Number1PM64fan Sonic is an old series, there are going to be common level tropes. It's not like the older 2D games didn't also reuse level tropes.
I'm just thankful Superstars had all new stages instead of Green Hill Act 492.
@TennyUnderscore Not to diss Jason, he's my favorite.
Roger is undoubtedly the best overall actor when it comes to his performance, likely due to his wider experience in the industry which, Jason and Ryan didn't have.
Problem with Roger is the voice director and the writing no doubt.
@ZachInsomnia What this whole thing has revealed to me about the Sonic fandom is that they are really similar to Sonic, why?
Because patience isn't a concept to most Sonic Fans.
@guywiththepie@TheJoshMan07 Personally, I can still see his "isms" in the art you say isn't drawn by him. As someone who's also studied his art, I think this stuff is still drawn by Uekawa himself.
Someones artstyle can just change overtime, I don't think it's that deep.
@PersonthePerso2 Sonic 1.
I'd never recommend a 3D Sonic game to someone first.
Sonic 1 and by association, the Classics represents the best era of Sonic. They're consistent, highly replayable platformers that pushed boundaries with they're physics, they are essential to play.
@jondrawz 1. the fact people are now ripping into Uekawa now is dumb.
2. not every piece needs to have sonic break his bones for the camera.
not trying to be a dick btw, but as an artist myself, sometimes a standing pose is good enough, as long as that's not every drawing you do.
