From a dozen friends at OâSheasâs casino to a sold out crowd at Allegiant Stadium, Dan has lead our journey for nearly a decade and a half. Weâve been through the highest of highs and seemingly insurmountable challenges, but through it all, he has never lost his determination to persevere or his faith in the music. Happy birthday to @DanReynolds, our friend, our brother, and our fearless guide on the epic and dynamic adventure that is Imagine Dragons.
Back to milk- itâs possible kids will take so little milk that we wonât be able to get deliveries from companies because our orders will be too small. Where would we get milk then? We canât drive to pick it up. We are also short staffed.
Iâm a registered dietitian in public school cafeterias who is against all of the proposed changes to school meals. Most of us are. It limits childrenâs options and makes school meals less appealing to children.
If we take away flavored milk, they just wonât take milk at all.
The USDA is considering limiting certain foods and drinks like chocolate milk in schools in order to âreduce childrenâs risk of chronic disease.â These sugar-laden drinks would only be available in high school if this proposal is accepted..
Many people on both the left and the right are not happy with this suggestion. They believe that their kids should have the right do drink chocolate milk even if it could potentially cause chronic diseases in certain children.
Personally I donât agree with it. However, I find it very hypocritical. Those on the right who are strongly against this also are, in some cases, OK with school libraries prohibiting books like âAnd Tango Makes Threeâ and âAnne Frankâs Diary: The Graphic Adaptation."
Those on the left who are strongly opposed to removing books from schools, and in some cases are against removing books like âGender Queerâ which show questionable âpornographic-like" illustrations, are completely for banning chocolate milk.
Why canât we all just find a happy medium? Why does everything needs to be so binary? Are we all hypocrites to some degree?
If parents don't want their kids to drink chocolate milk, then the parents should request they don't drink it. If parents don't want their kids reading books about 2-male penguins raising a baby together, then they should request their kids don't access that book.
In addition to that, companies will stop offering food items that are suitable to these proposed standards because it will take too much time and money to AGAIN adapt their recipes to meet these standards. The world is still short staffed and yet products are still in high demand
Men: if your wife or girlfriend only has sex with you because you get angry or give her the silent treatment if she doesnât; if you have sex with her when she is too drunk/high to consent or she is asleep; if you pressure her into sex... Then you are raping her. You are a rapist
I am so sick and tired of food products being marketed as âhealthyâ or âhealthier versionsâ of something else. Call it what it really is.
-Low Calorie
-High Protein
-Nutrient Dense
-No Artificial Sweeteners
We are creating more food guilt with already existing foods.
Our child nutrition workers are minimally recognized although they provide for our students everyday. Most making less than 30,000 a year.
Happy for teachers, but bigger problems continue to be ignored. We canât keep staff because they simply canât live off of what we pay them.
I know the difference a good teacher can make in the life of a student. Thatâs why this morning, I announced investments in teacher salaries, Opportunity Funding, and the Wilmington Learning Collaborative.
This is a PSA that if youâre feeling extremely lethargic and like you can never get enough sleep around this time of year, take a Vitamin D3 supplement with a Fish Oil. Youâre welcome.
Me making conversation with my boss: âAw! That little girl said I have beautiful hair. (:â
My boss: âBe careful with that stuff.â
Me: âhuh?â
My boss: âYou shouldnât get off to that kind of stuff itâll get you in trouble.â

I spend $200-$250 weekly for breakfast, lunch, and dinners for me and my boyfriend. Thatâs like 5-6 dollars per meal if you divide it evenly. Groceries are much cheaper than eating out.
