I’ve been painting warhammer models since March of this year, things I’ve learned:

Painting burnout is real and will make you think you’re larping liking models

You can literally buy any paint and use it on the model as long as you know how to thin your paints

Brush types don’t matter but as a heavy handed painter, golden maple brushes last longer

You don’t have to do box art at all

Take your time because it takes one bad stroke to ruin a decent paint job

Start with the parts that’ll be easy to clean up later. (I used to start on details….)

Look at other people’s models and see different styles you can create.

I just started doing this but SAND THE PARTS THAT YOU CUT FROM THE SPRUE LOL

Buy whatever models you want, literally no one cares if you’re not CEO of their lore yet

Base coat with Pro Acryl Dark Plum
Sponge or stipple with Warplock Bronze
Dry brush highlight with Canoptek Alloy
Dry brush with AK frog green
Glaze wash with any black wash you prefer.
